If you find yourself in a crisis and in need of assistance, the following resources and contact points may be of use:

  • If an emergency: call NHS 999 or you could attend your local A&E department.

  • Samaritans Tel:116123 – they provide a free confidential helpline available 24/7.

  • Suicide prevention UK – 0800 587 0800

  • Crisis text line - you can text SHOUT to 85258.

  • NHS 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk for urgent mental health support.

  • Your GP or local urgent mental health helpline.

  • Papyrus Hopeline – 0800 068 4141 (for those under 35 years old and struggling with suicidal feelings).

  • The charity MIND – also has information on ways to help yourself cope during a crisis.
